LABORATORY ANALYSES

The clinic is equipped with an advanced in-house laboratory, active every day, where numerous examinations are performed. This constitutes important support for clinical activity and patient monitoring. Specifically, the analyses performed are: 

• CBC with blood smear reading and interpretation
• complete clinical biochemistry
• basic coagulation profile
• haemogasanalysis 
• physico-chemical analysis of urine
• stool analysis
• mycological examination
• cytological examinations 
• search by rapid elisa test for: leishmania, filaria, anaplasma, ehrlichia, borrelia, giardia, fiv-felv
• parvovirus, coronavirus
• test for dog-specific pancreatic lipase
• test for cardiac hypertrophy in the cat
• determination of blood group in both dog and cat 
• hormone tests: T4, cortisol, progesterone, cpse (an indicator of benign prostatic hypertrophy)
• serum and urine electrophoresis 

The facility also collaborates with external laboratories on advanced laboratory diagnostic tests such as histology, genetics and molecular biology.
